"Love this place! We explore the beach side where you will find shell treasures, clean beach and plenty to explore! The current is a little stronger so be careful in the water, parking fills up quick so get there early. Certain times of year you can see lots of sea turtles gliding in the water, they also have an inlet side which is good for families and boats!"

"Mike (he was our Ranger) did an excellent job with telling us history prior to boarding the ferry. I'm so glad I was able to share this experience with my family on my birthday. (I can't remember the gentleman steering the boat) Make sure if you are in St Augustine you check this out!"

"Well preserved and restored historical site. The free ferry ride from the national park service office is the highlight. The captain and the crew are very knowledgeable and make sure that you get the best experience of the total 1 hour visit. Check the weather if you are driving long to visit this site because the ferry operation is closed under stormy weather conditions. Also the free ferry ride operates only from Thu to Mon and the tickets are first come first serve. So, we went an hour earlier to get the tickets and visited the nearby beautiful beach. We were lucky because the tickets were all sold for all rides until 2:30 except 3 tickets for the 11:30 ride when we arrived at 10:30. So, plan to be a little early if you plan to take the free ferry ride."
