Faver-Dykes State Park

"What a great park! Beautiful scenery, quiet, and with nice rangers. We camped for 2 nights. The large, gravel spots come with power and water, no septic. Some of the spots are very secluded but all of them are very private and comfortable. There are very clean bathrooms/showers and a dump station. My only issue is that the bathhouse has screen only transoms windows. Which is great during the hot summers but not great in winter. Specially when you combine that with the low flow hyper spray shower heads they have. I ended taking a shower in our travel trailer because I could not get the water to flow hot enough fast enough before I started freezing. I also need to mention the kayak/canoe launch. It’s fancy!"

"It is a beautiful drive into the park. We saw turtles, turkeys, and a hawk. No other wildlife but it was definitely worth the visit. Walked the launch dock saw some swirling in the water which they say is from manatees. A lot of fish jumping around. Fished off the pier, no bites but only fished for about 30 minutes. It was just way too hot and humid. Definitely suggest the visit."

"Great park. Brand new hook up with dump station. The park is huge and there is alot of wild life there. Very careful there are sign of ticks me and my wife did not came in contact with any but we also had bug spray. Very clean bathroom."
