Hotel Amalga, St. Augustine, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel

"Friendliest staff of any hotel I have ever been to. Everyone is extremely nice and the hotel is beautiful. Stayed in 416 and loved the room, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The only reason why I am doing 4 stars is because the walls are very very thin. The gym is right above and you can hear everything. Also, if someone is walking or running in the halls, gym etc. You will hear it. The room also shakes a little by the door? Not sure why, thought it was a little odd. Besides that it is a great hotel and we loved it!"

"My husband and I didn’t actually stay at the hotel, but went for dinner and drinks. We had the BEST time celebrating our anniversary!! SYLVIA, our bartender/server was AH-MAAAAZING!! The drinks were fabulous!! Her personality was infectious!! And THAT smile…absolutely beautiful!!!! I think you are fortunate to have such truly fantastic person working there. THANK YOU SYLVIA and CHEF for making our anniversary GREAT!! THE FOOD?? Just WOW!! The chef (I’m so sorry I can’t remember his name) was superior!! As you can tell, we thought this place was 5 star all the way!!"

"There is NOWHERE else to stay in St. Augustine except for Hotel Amalga—solely because of two of the most fantastic people I have ever encountered whilst traveling. While the hotel itself is absolutely stunning (the decor is an experience in and of itself) and the food is top-notch (must try the goat cheese flatbread), it is Mrs. Rhonda and Mr. John who truly make this place a true gem. To Mrs. Rhonda and Mr. John: a thousand times, thank you for your exceptional spirit of hospitality! I have never felt more seen as a person or treated as kindly as you both treated me during my stay. You didn't just exceed my expectations to make my stay a wonderful experience; your level of service genuinely touched my heart. You were, without a doubt, the absolute best part of my entire trip! To anyone traveling to St. Augustine, do yourself a favor: stay here and experience the beautiful of this magnificent hotel and the world-class care that only Mrs. Rhonda and Mr. John can provide."
